On the Water

Ask any Belleville local to describe life on the water – they’ll say “it can’t be beat!” The broad, sheltered waters of the Bay of Quinte make Belleville one of the top destinations for sailing, boating, kayaking and windsurfing.

Belleville operates two high quality boat launches on the City’s waterfront allowing full access to the Bay. One is located at the bottom of Herchimer Avenue and the other at South George Street.

Belleville Marinas

A marina should be more than just a place to tie-up your boat, but rather a place far away from the stress of everyday life.

Meyers Pier offers first class amenities for travelling boaters:

  • Gas and diesel pump outs;
  • 160 boat slips with power and water;
  • Washrooms, showers and laundry on-site;
  • Evening security;
  • Wireless internet.

Downtown Belleville can be accessed by the trail – shopping, groceries, supplies and dining options are within walking distance from the harbour.

Victoria Park provides the ideal location for dragon boat racing and is home to the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club, the second oldest yacht club in Ontario and fourth oldest in Canada. Offers 124 fully serviced seasonal slips with power and water at most slips, a great spot for off-shore fishing and is adjacent to the Boathouse Seafood Restaurant waterfront patio!

Discover a boater’s paradise at Crate Marine, with 200 full service premium slips featuring brand new docks, power, new showers and high speed internet.

Stillwater Basin offers 50 fully-serviced slips. Washroom and laundry facilities, wireless internet, rental properties and winter storage are available at this site.

Waterfront Pop-Ups

Entrepreneurs are bringing Belleville’s shoreline to life with the activation of pop-up shops along the waterfront. Visit Victoria Park and Freestone Point for bike and watersport rentals, tour packages, classes, retail, food and more!

Allowing entrepreneurs to activate our waterfront has created more activities for youth and visitors to our community – a great first step before significant long-term investment is made on Belleville’s multi-million dollar asset. Look for Phase 1 this summer and an expanded second phase in 2020.
