A rainy day in Belleville doesn’t need to ruin your vacation. There are a multitude of awesome things to see and do on a rainy day. Whether you are into fun and recreation or just looking for a little rest & relaxation, we’ve got you covered.
Here are some exciting indoor options to keep you and your family entertained and busy during a gloomy rainy day. First can I suggest you go to Break Out Belleville where you can try your hand at one of their escape rooms and after you can learn to throw axes and engage in a little family competition. Looking for something a little more traditional? Why not enjoy a dance class, open swim or start a game of pickup basketball at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre or grab a day pass at the YMCA and check out their new kids ninja zone and play house, it will be a blast for the whole family.
Then finish off the day with a few games of Rock’N’Bowl at Quinte Bowling Centre with glow-in-the-dark pins, disco lights and a live DJ or get comfy and enjoy the most recent superhero or Pixar movie at Galaxy Cinema.
Prefer something a little more laidback? Want to pamper yourself and relax during a rainy day? Here are some perfect ways to stay zen on a dreary day. Start your day with an incredible spa treatment at one of our fabulous day spas like; Beauty Works Day & Medi Spa, The Spah Inc. or Polish Salon & Spa just to name a few. Than take some time to stretch, move and reflect with a yoga or meditation class at Mindful Movements Studio, The Yoga Hub, Quinte Mind & Body or She Thrives. After all that relaxation it’s time for a sweet treat, which can only mean one thing, a stop at Donini’s Chocolate Factory. Visit the incredible chocolatiers and get yourself a hand poured unique chocolate treat. Not a chocolate person (we won’t judge) grab yourself a delicious doughnut, cupcake or square from Glazed and Confused.
Then finish the day off with a movie or live show at the historic Empire Theatre, home to a wide variety of live music, shows, and popular movies. Or put on your dancing shoes and bust a groove at Belleville’s only Dance & Night Club Little Texas.
My go to lunch spots are Toro Sushi or Cafe e, followed by an afternoon movie at the Empire Theatre in downtown Belleville. The Empire Theatre features movies that don’t necessarily play in chain movie theatres, but are interesting, artsy, award-winning, and/or internationally renowned.
